Default Font in Word 2007

Not everybody is a fan of Calibri size 11 ( the new default font settings in Word 2007) –  not that I loved the old Times New Roman font…but still.

So… if you want to pick your own default font and font size, here’s now:

  1. Have Word open and ensure you are on Home Tab.
  2. Click the bottom right corner of the Font group group (the little arrow pointing arrow).
  3. The font dialog window should now be open. Change all of the settings to what you like  (e.g. font style, font size) .
  4. Click the default button in the bottom left corner. It will ask you if you are sure, respond by clicking Yes.

All new documents will now begin with your preferred font and/or font size.
